Welcome to Mini Athletics South Birmingham
At Mini Athletics we take what children love to do the most (running super fast, jumping high and throwing far) and mix it with imaginative themes, learning to follow instructions, making friends and developing gross motor skills.
It is the magical combination of imaginative play, sport and burning energy!
Mini Athletics in Schools:
Mini Athletics lessons are in line with school curriculums which means we can cover Physical Education sessions. We pride ourselves on developing athletic skills. As proficiency develops, confidence grows, contributing to increased participation in a wide range of sports.
We can shape our sessions to be in line with year group themes.
Mini Athletics in Pre-Schools:
Our sessions are action packed ensuring every child meets the physical activity levels for the day. Space concerns? We will risk assess the space and very often find safe solutions so the children do not miss out on our fantastic sessions.

The church is situated on the junction of Balden Road and Croftdown Road.
There is a free off road carpark which is for use on a first come first served basis.
PLEASE BE AWARE IT MAY BE EASIER TO PARK ON THE MANY FREE PUBLIC ROADS as the carpark is only small.
The venue is spacious and equipped with accessible toilets, is all on one level and has baby changing facilities.

Meet the South Birmingham Team
Owner of this business is Rachel Russell, mother to two energetic daughters age 3 & 5 and wife to coach Ben.
After visiting the National Running Show at the NEC and falling in LOVE with a taster class she enquired about bringing Mini Athletics to her local area and Mini Athletics South Birmingham was born!
Rachel has a strong background in sport. holding a degree in Sports Science & Sports Nutrition and loves to see her daughters and other children having fun in sports!
Rachel is a role model to all Mini Athletes as she stays active herself and regularly competes in road running races and has a love of athletics.
