We are seeking a passionate and energetic Mini Athletics Coach to lead weekend public classes and deliver engaging sessions at nurseries and schools. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering fun, age-appropriate athletic activities, focusing on key events like Javelin, Shot Put, Long Jump, and High Jump. This role requires excellent communication skills, a love for working with children, and the ability to inspire young athletes to stay active and develop their skills. Experience with children or in coaching is preferred.

Meet Harriet and Seb – your Mini Athletics team for Royston, Stevenage & Hitchin!

Harriet and Seb are the husband-and-wife team bringing the excitement, energy, and imagination of Mini Athletics to families across Royston, Stevenage, and Hitchin.

As parents to two amazing young children, Lola (7) and Immie (5), they understand firsthand how important it is for children to build confidence, social skills, and a lifelong love of being active. Their own search for fun, inclusive activities for their girls inspired them to bring Mini Athletics to their community — a place where every child, whether energetic or a little shy, can thrive through movement and play.

Harriet is the face of Mini Athletics in the area — delivering the sessions, supporting families, and managing all communication. Seb works behind the scenes, creating all the social media, photography, and marketing content that helps showcase the magic of the classes. Together, they blend creativity, warmth, and organisation to create an environment where little athletes can run, jump, throw, laugh, and grow.

Mini Athletics is more than just exercise. It’s about building physical literacy, boosting confidence, inspiring imagination, and giving children the foundations for a happy, active future.
